Abstract The capacity of the Saddang River Irrigation Canal will be increased by 30% to accommodate long-term irrigation discharge needs. Analysis hydraulic model and channels is examined in this study. High resolution LiDAR Digital Elevation HEC-RAS Model are used estimate flow depth velocities event rain with extreme intensity. solves 2-D depth-averaged St.Venant equations that mainly for river simulation. uses on-grid precipitation hydrograph flexible meshes may contain arbitrarily quadrilateral triangular cells. A hybrid mesh achieve best compromise between solution accuracy computing demand. solved variables include water surface elevation, depth, averaged velocity, Froude number, bed shear stress. optimization useful improving drainage modulus, lining channel, drain time period performance channels.
